GOOD SOUND ABSORPTION FOR STUDENTS’ IMPROVED FOOD EXPERIENCE

BRÅVALLA HIGH SCHOOL

At the vocational high school Bråvalla in Sweden, host to 850 students, there was a desire to improve the experience and environment in the lunch hall by decorating with sound absorbents in both furniture as well as on surfaces like walls and ceiling.

Marie Brauner, interior design consultant through Tyréns, therefore chose artificial plant Aloe Vera from Götessons that help to break up sound waves to create a softer sound environment. At the same time, the plants make a nice room divider. Around the hall, sound absorbing Big Print were mounted on the wall; the longest one is 18 meters long and the colour from the school’s logotpe is found in the motif.
