EPD
EPD stands for Environmental Product Declaration, and it is an environmental product declaration that describes the environmental performance of a product or material from a life cycle perspective, from raw material extraction to waste management. In an EPD, you can obtain information about the product's energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and resource consumption at different stages of the value chain. EPDs are created using standardized methods and are reviewed by third parties to ensure their reliability and comparability.
The purpose of an EPD is to provide consumers, businesses, and other stakeholders with transparent information about a product's environmental performance. Based on factual information about a product's environmental impact, informed decisions can be made, product performance can be compared, and appropriate actions can be taken to reduce a product's climate impact.
